Short item description
The tiles come from the interior of the great hall of the Municipal
club in Šternberk. The original tiles from the 1970s were originally designed
for the lining of the A line metro stations by the chief architect of the Prague
metro Jaroslav Otruba. The colours were designed by graphic designer: Rathouský. The alternation of hollow and convex plates was intended to fragment
sound waves. Over the past few years, these cartridges have become an icon that evokes with to the best works of the Czechoslovak era architecture unprecedented interest even among foreign design collectors.
