Short item description: paper, porous cardboard, numbered print, 204/1000, 21 × 15,5 cmThe author's first monograph was published in Paris in the Edici Sokolova in 1953 by Meda Mládková under her maiden name. The monograph included texts by important surrealist authors André Breton, Benjamin Peréta and Jindřich Heisler and included a mounted reproduction of a photograph of Toyen in the introduction, extensive photographic documentation of her paintings, a biographical note and an inventory of previous publications. Avant-garde cover by Guy Doumayrou was printed on a hand press by Meyer-Ruelle.
