Christian scenes and stories were used in Reynek's in Reynka's renditions became above all essentially human, intimately experienced events that relate to personal level of man. The close connection and coexistence with animals, cats, goats and sheep, who play in Reynek's letters as the beings closest to humans, show man's eternal belonging with nature and also refer to the Christian symbolism. The effect of Reynek's graphic letters is enhanced by the representation of the light that emanates as if from within the scene, illuminating its surroundings.
