with sealed silver foil, 70 × 21 × 13 cmShip is one of the variants of similarly shaped, variously coloured objects-bowls on which the artist has been working since 2001. It represents a high quality position of Hlaviček's work, where in a simple stereometric block an effective play of lines, colours and glosses comes to life, giving the impression of movement. The impressiveness of the works lies precisely in the contrast between the austere form and the liveliness or precise composition of the complex structures with which it is filled. Tomáš Hlavička (*1950) originally studied architecture. His meeting with the renowned glass artist Pavel Hlava, with whom he has collaborated on glass projects in architecture since 1980, was pivotal for him.
