Bohemia, design by J. Otrub between 1973-1978, interior panelling
originally designed for the interior of the Prague metro line A, aluminium
mouldings, sprayed in light golden and orange colours, size
stencil 50 × 50 × 4,5 cm, slightly damagedThe original tiles from the 1970s were originally designed for lining
of the A line metro stations by the chief architect of the Prague metro Jaroslav
Otruba. The colours were designed by graphic designer Jiří Rathouský. The alternation of hollow
and convex panels was intended to fragment the sound waves.
Over the last few years, these cassettes have become an icon that evokes
unprecedented interest in the jewels of the Czechoslovak architectural era.
